Reign of Byzantine Emperor Justinian II (685-711 A.D.): Gold coin, bust of Christ, with curly hair (cornrows perhaps), short beard, Gospels in left hand, cross behind head. The coin's Certificate of Authenticity: "The portrait on this coin was based on an icon believed by the people of the time to bear a miraculous resemblance to Christ's actual appearance."
Note: All images of "Christ" were Black up until 1308 A.D.
The excerpt to the right ("Such a design....") is to give a concrete example of deliberate planning by a group of people to demean, demoralize and destroy another people/race.
Why is consciously changing what a "color" represents significant? What is wrong with a color meaning what it means to each culture and let it be?
Well, for one thing, in all known ancient cultures, "white" was the color signifying Death and Evilness (as in the column that says it represented Mourning in China); "black" was the color of Divinity and Intelligence! Who would want that known?
Also, it is important to know that all present-day media use the same "Design Patterns" because there was collusion (planning) and white media-wide acceptance to subliminally effect "white superiority" associations with color leitmotifs (themes and ideology).
Without knowing that one has been brainwashed, it is dificult to be a critical thinker; e.g., to believe that "black" represents evil-- rather than knowing that ancient cultures world-wide used "white" to represent evil.
For an unreal, shocking display of brainwashing, see the video:

Dr. Claud Anderson: Inappropriate Behavior
A critical thinker is someone who acts rationally in self-, family- and race-preservation by validating his or her beliefs with questions such as:
Who told me that? Who benefits from my believing it? Does it hurt/harm my self-esteem or affirm it? Does it sound true to my Spirit?
Use your intuition, man/ woman--those of you "from or belonging to the Source."
The following excerpt is from "Manichean Leitmotif;" citation below
"Such a design of these three colors forms a pattern to indicate terror and death, a pattern which is at the base of what I term the triadic color structure in narrative fiction.
Allison's theory of association of colors, in this respect, influenced the mental processes of American critics and writers, because such a color design to indicate racism and nationalism is found in aesthetic theories as well as in fiction."
In other words, this color design suggests a conscious device for inducing degrees of terror, with darkness signifying death."
This death-like design is explicitly shown in a comparison of the colors of mourning in China and in Britain:"
Yellow is, in China, the imperial Colour, and sacred to the Emperor and his property; it is therefore associated with ideas of Magnificence and Royalty."
Among us it has no distinct Association, and therefore beautiful to others, only according to its degree or shade."
White is beautiful to us in a supreme degree, as emblematical both of Innocence and Cheerfulness."
In China, on the other hand, [white] it is the Colour appropriated to Mourning, and consequently, very far from being generally beautiful."

From: The Manichean Leitmotif, the ideology and psychology of racism in American fiction; p. 34, Arthur Joseph Graham, Ph.D. Important:
"The book analyzes...the cumulative effects of skin-color symbolism on the mind...."
"My purpose is to identify those symbolic elements that trigger negative self-conception, and, hence, revulsion in blacks and other non-white readers."
"These elements also reinforce a typical attitude of noblesse oblige for white readers...." "...Noblesse oblige...(is about) self-preservation and stability of status quo."
